It's our fifth Quell as Fighting in The War Room, and one of us is super pregnant. With Katey Rich's due date passed, each host picks a movie that they would pass on to the next generation, even if that generation isn't biologically theirs. We go in the order of "most likely to have children in wedlock" starting with pregnant Katey and The Music Man, moving to Matt Patches and Searching For Bobby Fischer, then to David Ehrlich for The World of Tomorrow and finally for Da7e who chose Kung Fu Panda.

TECHNICAL NOTE: David is missing from the first segment due to technical and audio difficulties.

It’s our fourth Quell as Fighting in The War Room (and our 2nd 100th episode as a foursome), and we’ve all stopped going it alone. It’s time to meet the significant others, the people who have put up with us podcasting multiple times a week for years and years. David’s fiancé Elisa says David’s not trolling you, Katey’s husband Michael would sometimes rather watch House Hunters, Matt Patches’ better half Michelle proves to be the saner party and Da7e’s girlfriend Java has things to say about Jane Austen adaptations.

It’s our third Quell as Fighting in The War Room, and we’re getting all nostalgic again. Katey, Da7e, David and Patches have each brought a film that they wanted to be when they grew up. Katey always wanted to be Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Da7e wishes he were Penny Marshall’s Big, David sees himself in James L. Brooks’ Broadcast News and Patches, perhaps predictably, chooses earnest love-of-teaching-music movie Mr. Holland’s Opus.

It’s been a long time podcasting for Katey, Da7e, David and Patches, so each host brought a film that timestamps something about their mindset right now. Newly married Katey sees marriage in Neighbors, Da7e brings Raiders of the Lost Ark as a metaphor for his move to Colorado, David’s turned 30 and chooses 13 Going on 30 and Patches ends the podcast on <sarcasm> a lighter note </sarcasm> by contemplating mortality with Synecdoche NY.
