With Joanna Robinson from Vanity Fair, Dave Gonzales, and Neil Miller from Film School Rejects!
Welcome to another off season tour episode of A STORM OF SPOILERS!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get down with the Mission: Impossible franchise and Storm of Spoilers. After the usual segements, including (pew! pew!) Storm Chasing, the hosts break down if there is a greater thesis to the success of the M:I movies, and what makes them stand out as a franchise. Then, they take some questions from you, the listeners, before Neil and Joanna dive into a Mission: Impossible – Fallout storm at an hour and two minutes in.

This week's closing track:
Katey, Patches and Da7e ride without a David this week and on Da7e's actual birthday so everyone is a bit nicer to him and his topics. First, Da7e thought he was going to see Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation this weekend, but couldn't bring himself to support Tom Cruise and Scientology. Then, The Gift comes out this weekend and seems to be a fun twist-based thriller. Since no one on the podcast had seen it, we instead talk about Blumhouse Productions other thirller, Creep, which is on Netflix. Finally, Wet Hot American Summer: first Day of Camp is out and Da7e thinks it might be the most perfect Netflix revival possible. All that plus a lightning rougd question that hasn't passed judgement on Fantastic Four just yet!

Katey, Patches and Da7e and David are back to talk about how authors and famous people an how they are portrayed in film. First, everyone but Da7e has seen the David Foster Wallace book-tour movie The End of the Tour and debates what this movie is about and if that makes it worth watching. Then, Patches wants to know if someone being famous is reason enough to document them, which ends up unveiling the groups true feelings about the documentary format. Finally, for Segment 3, we all think we know what a spy movie is, but it turns out, we don't.
