They make do without him through dueling monologues on trusting your heroes, adapting a book into other media while catering to both the fans and the newbies, the direction of Alex Graves, gross Littlefinger nicknames and prognostication about upcoming battles knowing how TV deals with foreshadowing death and heroes.
Somehow, they don’t mention Arya’s laugh.
