This week, we’re changing up the format for our 75th Episode Quarter Quell Special! It’s our third Quell as Fighting in The War Room, and we’re getting all nostalgic again. Katey, Da7e, David and Patches have each brought a film that they wanted to be when they grew up. Katey always wanted to be Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Da7e wishes he were Penny Marshall’s Big, David sees himself in James L. Brooks’ Broadcast News and Patches, perhaps predictably, chooses earnest love-of-teaching-music movie Mr. Holland’s Opus.

This podcast includes some occasional cussing, but all three hosts are alive at the end of it. It covers SEASON 5 EPISODE 10 “Mother’s Mercy”
This week, we’ve worked in the entertainment “journalism” world for awhile now, and we thing Entertainment Weekly is IN ON IT. That’s right, we’re 98% sure that not all the cliffhangers we saw in this finale end in death. Like, serious death. Besides #ParadeOfLies, this very unstructured podcast throws out the chronological breakdown of the episode to worry and speculate about macro and micro issues, from “does the HBO production team know what to do with these literary characters?” to “Where did Pod go?” Joanna has a little bird in Belfast, Neil is pretty sure Winds of Winter is already finished and Da7e is wondering why so few of our characters actually played the Game of Thrones this season.
