And We Love Paul Rudd

Katey, Patches and David soldier on and podcast as Da7e got small and was absent this week. That may have something to do with this week's two film releases, Marvel's Ant-Man and Trainwreck, both discussed on this podcast via our love for Paul Rudd and how we view authorship in a movie like Trainwreck. There's also a mini-segment about Takashi Murakami's Jellyfish Eyes and if you don't know what that is, you will after this episode.

Musings from San Diego Couch-Con 2015

This weekend was San Diego Comic-Con and everything  that entails. While David quietly rages somewhere and Katey attends a wedding, Da7e and Patches don't have any sane person from holding them back from fully geeking out over Comic-Con's movie fair this year. Da7e describes the Star Wars panel to a spoiler-averse Patches, then the two cover all the major Hall H presentations of note, including Pan, The Hateful Eight, Warcraft and several side conversations about important things like the fate of Garrett Hedlund (or this one moment where Da7e mistakenly refers to Zorro as "English" in passing and no one correct him). Join us, won't you? For Comic-Con 2015

77 – Movies Shot On Consumer Technology
Episodes»Legacy | | 8. July, 2015

And the gang solves sexism.

In the summer of revolving hosts, Katey is out, the dudes are in and Da7e wants to talk about the theater of going on a good dark ride at an amusement park and how that's like what we want from movies. Then, Patches and David get to get in on the conversation with movies that the male audience missed to their own detriment. Finally, in honor of the excellent Tangerine (shot on an iPhone!), the guys talk about movies shot on consumer grade equipment.

Magic Mike and Terminator add sequels this week

In this double-stuffed episode, Patches, Katey, and David grind on Magic Mike XXL in the hottest, heaviest fashion. Do we get it up for this studly sequel? Then, Da7e and Patches change the FITWR timeline forever by reviewing Terminator Genisys, the franchise's fifth installment. That and answers to our Amy-related lightning round question on this week's review episode.
