Mission-Impossible-Rogue-Nation

This podcast will self destruct in 42 minutes and 15 seconds

This week, Patches, Katey, and David accept the impossible mission of reviewing Tom Cruise's fifth Mission: Impossible installment, Rogue Nation. Was it a rabbit's foot or is it desperate need of a face (mask) lift? Then, Katey and David head off for Wally World with a brief review of the Vacation review. Then, answers to a lightning round question that's too hard to explain.

A podcast about Comics Pop Culture!

Hello FITWR listeners, Republic City Dispatch fanatics and Storm of Spoilers/Cast of Kings fantasy nerds, we’re back for more comics discussion! New comics enthusiast Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood and The Station Agents podcast is joined by a guy who is totally thinking of the Mountain Dew Kickstart commercial song right now,  Da7e Gonzales of Geek.com,  Latino-Review.com and Forbes.com, to answer YOUR comic book questions. No matter your level of engagement, if you’re interested in comic books and their surrounding pop culture, this show’s for you!

THIS WEEK: Da7e and Jo catch up the week’s interesting comic book media news and briefly discuss the nature of all spoilers in comic related fandom (light on the actual spoilers though). This week Netflix talked more about what to expect from Marvel, so they touch on that as well. Joanna has read Hawkeye, Alias, Young Avengers, We Are Robin, and The Killing Joke  and Da7e answers a question about Captain Marvel: Vol 1. Higher Further Faster More and Ms Marvel: Vol. 1 No Normal.

Plus: Is that David Foster Wallace movie a travesty?

Katey, Patches and Da7e and David are back to talk about how authors and famous people an how they are portrayed in film. First, everyone but Da7e has seen the David Foster Wallace book-tour movie The End of the Tour and debates what this movie is about and if that makes it worth watching. Then, Patches wants to know if someone being famous is reason enough to document them, which ends up unveiling the groups true feelings about the documentary format. Finally, for Segment 3, we all think we know what a spy movie is, but it turns out, we don't.

REVIEW – Pixels, or whatever

Kevin James is an illiterate US President, just to set the mood.

There's a new Adam Sandler movie out and it's about video games. The aliens that pretend to be video games probably don't win the day, but can Pixels survive Patches, David and Katey giving it an actual critical reckoning?

How was LAST week's review called "Trainwreck" with this movie on the slate?
