Your Comics Questions Answered!

A podcast about Comics Pop Culture! With Special Guest Matt Patches!

Hello FITWR listeners, Republic City Dispatch fantatics and Storm of Spoilers/Cast of Kings fantasy nerds, we’re back!

New comics enthusiast Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood and The Station Agents podcast is joined by a guy who wants to fight Jeph Loeb for personal reasons,  Da7e Gonzales of Latino-Review.com and Forbes.com, to answer YOUR comic book questions.

This week, we’re joined by FITWR and Republic City Dispatch co-host Matt Patches (@misterpatches)!

The podcast has TWO SECTIONS: “General” and “Advanced.” The first “General” section is for EVERYONE and won’t spoil anything that hasn’t happened on screen in a movie yet nor will Da7e be allowed to explain multiple arcs that might become spoilers.

No matter your level of engagement, if you’re interested in comic books and their surrounding pop culture, this show’s for you!

You can find all our old episodes at BatmanVSupermanEnterTheKnight.com!

Plus a mini review of Appropriate Behavior!

This week, Katey’s been replace by Joanna, and everyone should be happy, but that doesn’t stop Patches, David, and Da7e from taking a bleak view of things. First, everyone wants to talk about Black Mirror, the British Import Sci-Fic anthology show and how it might be great, then David wants to tell you about a Sundance movie he enjoyed that is finally seeing release, then FINALLY DAVID CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE. The world is depressing and writing about film doesn’t seem to be helping anyone. Can the other hosts convince David to go on?  Follow the show (@FITWR), Joanna (@jowrotethis)  Patches (@misterpatches), Da7e (@da7e) and David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner).

Plus Taken 3 and Predestination!

This week, Patches, David, and Katey look at Ava DuVernay’s Selma, a docudrama portrayal of the protests that helped enact the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The film is anything but a striaghtforward Dr. Martin Luther King biopic, making for a complicated and entertaining film to grapple with. After that, short reviews of Taken 3 and Predestination, plus answers to this week’s lightning round questions.
