This week, Katey, Patches, Da7e and David celebrate a weekend where even non-subscribers had access to HBO. That means everyone got to check out the Season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones, maybe television’s last great watercooler show. They reflect on the loss of Prince in a mini-segment, then dig into Beyoncé’s HBO visual album Lemonade.
AUDIO APOLOGIES – Due to internet issues, parts of Segment 3 switch to a backup MP3 track recorded raw off Skype. Our apologies. Blame Time Warner.

With Joanna Robinson from Vanity Fair, Dave Gonzales from Geek.com and Neil Miller from Film School Rejects!
If you’re looking for spoiler-free dissection of the highest caliber, or reading along with Season One of the HBO show, you’re looking for A CAST OF KINGS (click there)
Welcome back to A STORM OF SPOILERS!
This is the Storm of Spoilers episode for Season 6, Episode 1 “The Red Woman.”
We’re in the last part of the Song of Ice and Fire tale and resolving some cliffhangers from Season 5. The important thing, it seems, is not to think too hard about what’s happening. How did Sansa and Theon survive the jump from that wall and where did the hounds go once Brienne arrived? What happened in Dorne, WHY and how do the Sand Snakes get to King’s Landing? After spending some time mourning the Dorne storyline and debating the Melisandre twist, your hosts delve into possible future plot points, then answer your tweeted and e-mailed questions!
WE’RE BACK!

This week, Katey, Patches, and special guest Joe Reid of Decider and the Extra Hot Great podcast gaze into the magical mirror of their local AMC multiplex and wonder, “Mirror, Mirror, on the 60-foot wall, which fantasy franchise is the fairest of them all?” The answer is not The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Plus, your answers to our Elvis and Nixon-themed lightning round question.

Hello FITWR listeners, Republic City Dispatch fanatics and Storm of Spoilers/Cast of Kings fantasy nerds, we’re back for more comics discussion!
New comics enthusiast Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood and The Station Agents podcast is joined by a Spider-Man fan, Da7e Gonzales of Geek.com and Latino-Review.com
No matter your level of engagement, if you’re interested in comic books and their surrounding pop culture, this show’s for you!
THIS WEEK: Joanna and Da7e are back, although there isn’t a ton of comic book news discussed outside of this year’s Eisner Award Nominations. Otherwise, Da7e has seen Captain America: Civil War and Joanna hasn’t so there’s a spoiler-free prep section (spoiler free in the sense that you should know Black Panther and Spider-Man are in this movie already). Then, recent Doctor Strange and Iron Fist developments has the duo revisiting how actors of Asian descent are getting the shaft. Finally, a quick jaunt through The Flash (Zoom!), iZombie (Joanna loves it!) and Agent Carter season 2 (Da7e caught up)! Oh, and The Killing Joke comes up again because WB released the trailer for the R-Rated animated Batman film.
