I think the &ldquo;real world&rdquo; animation \u2014 especially the work on the bike chase \u2014 is detailed, fluid, and as kinetic as ever, but man, these above frames are on a whole other level of artistry.<\/p>\n<p>The spirit designs have had a Miyazaki\/Spirited Away quality to them. The scenes featuring Wan feel distinct \u2014 more storybook, emulating ancient Eastern artwork. My mind jumped to the animation of\u00a0Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies) and Shoujirou Nishimi (Tekkonkinkreet).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What do they recall for you?
