I keep telling him that it would ridiculous for the show runners to have their villain from this season be done by the same voice actor who did one of their best villains from A:TLA (not that DeLisle isn&#8217;t talented or mlutidimensional). Or did I miss some announcement about The Dark Spirit being a huge villain? Your thoughts on this?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s true we haven\u2019t seen a Grey DeLisle character yet and she did say she was playing a Dark Spirit.<\/p>\n<p>As of this moment, my best guess is that Vaatu was trapped in his Spirit Tree at least up until Unalaq could physically get in there during his brief \u201cThe Sting\u201d scene.<\/p>\n<p>Unalaq also has some erroneous ideas about the history of those Spirit Portals. Assuming what we saw in \u201cThe Beginning\u201d was true, Unalaq\u2019s talk about how the Water Tribe used the portals to move back and forth probably isn\u2019t.\u00a0<span>Unalaq also has some sort of spirit calming power we haven\u2019t learned the details of (it makes sense the Avatar can do it because s\/he\u2019s just using Raava to change the spirit\u2019s mood).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Overall: it seems like Unalaq has SOME idea of what\u2019s going on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What seems likely is that there is a middle-man dark spirit, possibly the Dark Spirit Grey DeLisle is voicing, that is working with Unalaq as an agent of Vaatu. Like a Wormtongue or a Saruman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A serious middle-bad, but a mini-boss compared to the\u00a0<\/span>apocalypse<span>\u00a0that is Vaatu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Or Grey DeLisle and everyone totally got us and Azula\u2019s still alive.
