They can only channel it, not control of dominate it like with fire or water. You shoot or redirect it, that&#8217;s about it so far."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Actually, &ldquo;Lightning Generation&rdquo; is a subset of Firebending. Re-directing lightning is the method Iroh developed by studying Waterbenders.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, <a href=\"http:\/\/avatar.wikia.com\/wiki\/Firebending#Lightning\" target=\"_blank\">the Avatar Wika<\/a> lists Mako as one of the five known lightning generators.
