Hey guys! If I can make a suggestion about an anime series with high concept/emotional payoff/excellent character writing, I’d HIGHLY recommend Haibane Renmei. The story is very exploratory in nature, and the first 6 eps. revolve around the main character being introduced to this sort of pocket world, its rules and traditions, and the other characters that she lives with. The second half of the series looks into deeper things at work in their town. Very human, very character driven, VERY pretty.
