You brought up some interesting points with the Amon theory, bloodbending-wise, and I was wondering: Could it be possible that maybe Amon could be a bloodbender? Taking into account that he could fight against tarrlok’s bloodbending and the backwards-style of how he takes away bending compared to the avatar, could he possibly be a bloodbender who is taking away bending physically (like some intense version of chi-blocking via bloodbending) versus spiritually?
