DRUMS!

This week, Katey, Patches, and David rush and drag and rush and drag to find the right beat to drum for Whiplash, the Miles-led musical drama that wowed at festivals and finally hits theaters this week. Before they bang it out, Katey and Patches yell some drunken, Brooklyn-style profanity at St. Vincent, the latest Bill Murray dramedy. Where does this one go so horribly wrong? That and your answers to this week’s lightning round questions about aging actors’ last hurrahs on this week’s FITWR review.

Emma Watson’s UN Speech, The Boxtrolls and “Airport Books”

This week, Katey returns to find Da7e, Patches, Joanna and David still chillin, talking about things like Ello that she’ll never understand. Instead, the group all dives into Emma Watson’s speech about Feminism at the UN and the reaction to it, then they wonder if Laika’s The Boxtrolls is the cure to franchise fatigue. Finally, everyone anticipates Gone Girl from David Fincher and talk about adapting popular/airport/trash novels into movies while David Ehrlich tries to define the word “trash” for himself.
