Acca-pocalypse

It’s a lovely, lovely day for a drive, listeners. This week Katey, Patches and David are joining the War Boys, the Doof Warrior, Immortan Joe, and of course Furiosa in a journey across the wasteland, as we review Mad Max: Fury Road. For those of you convinced David hates every blockbuster, you really might want to give this one a listen.

All four hosts review their seventh Marvel movie together in the regular fashion.

It’s that time of the year again, folks: time for the newest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avengers: Age of Ultron is a super-packed sequel sure to leave you bewildered but pleased, says Da7e. Patches got quoted in a television ad for his Esquire piece, Katey doesn’t have to worry about Thanos and THE EHRLICH – fan of the first Avengers and not a Marvel movie since – HAS HIS OPINION.
Does Joss Whedon’s sequel deserve to be the record setting international hit it probably is by the time this episode is live?

REVIEW – Age of Adaline
| 24. April, 2015

The-Age-of-Adaline-2015-5

With special guests Kate Erbland and Richard Lawson!

This week Katey is thrilled to announce the Fighting in the War Room spinoff dedicated solely to Blake Lively, called Reserved for Preserve.
Or she could also just be reviewing The Age of Adaline, with special guests Kate Erbland (@Katerbland) and Richard Lawson (@rilaws). Starring Blake Lively as a woman who has remained 29 years old for nearly a century, and both Michiel Huisman and Harrison Ford (yes, really) as men she loves, it’s a weird movie full of made-up science and gorgeous clothes. But would you believe it’s also . . . kind of good?

REVIEW – Ex Machina
| 11. April, 2015

ex-machina-feat

With returning guest Jordan Hoffman!

This week, Katey, David, and Patches summon Guardian and New York Daily News film critic Jordan Hoffman to conduct a Turing Test, to see they really have the brains for this sorta thing. The results are debatable. But, hey, at least this review of Ex Machina is fun! That, a discussion on Clouds of Sils Maria, and your answers to this week’s foreign actor-themed lightning round question on this week’s review episode.
