This week, David has returned from the Berlin Film Festival and brings us the notes on stuff that we should definitely look forward to seeing later in the year. He went festivaling so you didn't have to! Then, maybe as a reward for surviving a festival, David gets to talk about his current video game obsession, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Finally, since Katey is absent and the Academy Awards are this Sunday, we take a last run through the nominees and odd award season so far.

248 – The Expanse, Muscle Aladdin, Abducted in Plain Sight
This week, a hail mary pass to Katey for a Russian Doll segment gets blown up by a fussy baby, and David is in Berlin, so it's up to Da7e and Patches to not cancal the podcast this time – they have a 50-50 track record so far. In this normally strucutred episode, Da7e tries to get Patches to catch up on The Expanse now that it's all streaming on Amazon Prime, both hosts have their newest check in on whatever the hell is going on with Guy Richie's Aladdin, then a discussion of the Netflix documentary Abducted in Plain Sight and how they both feel about this not-good, but incredible true crime documentary.

This week, the boys are back from Sundance (Katey is still on parental leave)! First up, they take on Velvet Buzzsaw, the new Netflix Jake Gyllenhall black satire film. Then, while everyone else had a football gaming event weekend, Da7e attended an EDM concert in some bingo games that pay real money. Finally, with Patches and David both filled with Sundance movies, they get to bounce some favorites around.
