With last week\u2019s announcement of this year\u2019s Academy Award nominees, we can now discuss the episode a year in the making (or, in the case of The Current War<\/i>, several years): the This Had Oscar Buzz Class of 2019.<\/p>\n

In keeping with last year\u2019s tradition, we\u2019ve broken the films up into several categories: The Cake Memorial Prize for happiest miss, The Justice for \u201cSlaughter Race\u201d Prize for saddest miss, The Dr. Louise Banks Award for most surprising shutout, the Unfinished Life <\/i>Prize for most forgettable, the Angela\u2019s Ashes<\/i> technicality prize, and the Welcome to Marwen<\/i> Prize for most anticipated episode.<\/p>\n

We naturally rage against the snub of Jennifer Lopez for Hustlers<\/i>, make promises of an eventual Cats<\/i> episode, and highlight what makes this year\u2019s Independent Spirit Awards so special. Apologies for the delay in the arrival of the episode!!<\/p>\n
