249 and 7/9ths – Leaving Neverland, I’m Sorry, Netflix Vs. Oscars
| 7. March, 2019

steven-spielberg

This week – The three guys all watched both parts of Leaving Neverland, the HBO Michael Jackson documentary, and get to debate if Katey needs to see it at all. Then, Patches is convinced everyone will like "I'm Sorry" a TruTV comedy he pitches as a female Curb Your Enthusiasm. Finally, Steven Spielberg asks the Academy for a four week theatrical window in order to qualify for an Oscar as a way to combat streaming, so Netflix tweets about it and the debate is off!

A GAME OF THRONES PODCAST THAT IS TALKING ABOUT OTHER GREAT POP CULTURE DURING THE OFF SEASON

With Joanna Robinson from Vanity Fair, Dave Gonzales of Thrillist.com, and Neil Miller from Film School Rejects!

Welcome to another off season tour episode of A STORM OF SPOILERS!

This week, Neil is back and all three hosts watched two delightfully silly dinosaur movies in the Jurassic Park/Jurrassic World series to discuss. After the usual Storm Chasing segment that brings up Cooking on High, Fortnite, and books, the gang delves into 1997's The Lost World to prime ourselves for Jurassic sequel territory – the main course – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. We're playing it pretty fast and loose with spoilers in the second segment, so jump off at 39 MINUTES IN if you care about dino-spoiling.

Welcome to another off season tour episode of A STORM OF SPOILERS!

This week, it is time for another GREAT DEBATE!

This week, we take on the films of Steven Spielberg, not as a general overview, but as subjects for debate. Four topics comprise our first secrtion: Most Underrated Spielberg Film, Best Spielberg Character, and Lost Spielberg Project We'd Like to See. Then, the group digs into the latest offering: Ready Player One.

If you DO NOT WANT SPOILERS for Ready Player One, jump off at 55 minutes in and we'll catch up with you for Lost In Space next week.

A podcast about Comics Pop Culture!

Hello FITWR listeners, Republic City Dispatch fanatics and Storm of Spoilers/Cast of Kings fantasy nerds, we’re back for more comics discussion!

New comics enthusiast Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood and The Station Agents podcast is joined by a guy who may have learned some facts about Daredevil Season 2 this week,  Da7e Gonzales of Geek.com,  Latino-Review.com and Forbes.com, to answer YOUR comic book questions.

No matter your level of engagement, if you’re interested in comic books and their surrounding pop culture, this show’s for you!

THIS WEEK: Joanna and Da7e took a week off to record an episode of STORM OF SPOILERS, so this week they are back and have comparatively A LOT of comics to talk about. Seriously, prepare for over 20 minutes at the top that is just about comic books. THEN, because of the Marvel brain trust shake-up and some comments by Steven Spielberg and Emma Thompson, Joanna takes the muzzle off of Da7e who gets way too into discussing how he knows more than both of those artistic geniuses. As per usual, no one is changing their opinion, but Da7e gets to yell about it.
