A podcast about Comics Pop Culture!

Hello FITWR listeners, Republic City Dispatch fanatics and Storm of Spoilers/Cast of Kings fantasy nerds, we’re back for more comics discussion!

New comics enthusiast Joanna Robinson of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood and The Station Agents podcast is joined by a guy who has a mother named Liz,  Da7e Gonzales of Geek.com and  Latino-Review.com

No matter your level of engagement, if you’re interested in comic books and their surrounding pop culture, this show’s for you!

THIS WEEK: Joanna and Da7e have reconvened to talk about the final episodes of Daredevil Season 2 and how Da7e is going to have to do something embarrassing because he made the wrong Bullseye bet. Then, Da7e makes a case for why the last two episodes of DD S2 “sh*t the bed.” After a brief period of agreeing on how much fun Supergirl and The Flash crossing over for this week’s “World’s Finest” on Monday and enjoying some silver age goodness on The Flash time travel on Tuesday, the duo finally jumps into Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. No one is going to burn the whole house down, but nobody on this was impressed with what Dawn of Justice ended up being.

There are no small parts, just small…whatever.

This week, David Ehrlich takes a sudden vacation to switch jobs, so Katey, Patches and Da7e have run of the war room. After a review that asks for fewer political opinions, the group unwisely decides to talk about the Tribecca Film Festival scheduling the anti-vaccination documentary Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe then pulling it from the schedule after public uproar. Then, Batman V. Superman made a lot of money at the box office…so just like 10 Cloverfield Lane, we have to stop and wonder what that means. Finally, Wonder Woman’s brief appearance in Dawn of Justice prompts us to talk about our favorite movie roles that don’t take up a lot of screen time.

God Vs. Knight. Day Vs. Night. Dust Vs. Night.

This week, Patches, David and Da7e finally get to see Zack Snyder’s sequel to Man of Steel, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, after being aware that it was coming since 2013. What does Warner Bros’ biggest super-franchise gamble actually end up looking like? Turns out there’s some stuff to like and lots to debate before the trio digs into spoilers and tries to see if there’s any garnets amongst the silt. – SPOILER GONG at 37:10

Each Host Replaced By The Person Who Puts Up With Them

This week, we’re changing up the format for our 100th Episode Full Quell Special! It’s our fourth Quell as Fighting in The War Room (and our 2nd 100th episode as a foursome), and we’ve all stopped going it alone. It’s time to meet the significant others, the people who have put up with us podcasting multiple times a week for years and years. David’s fiancé Elisa says David’s not trolling you, Katey’s husband Michael would sometimes rather watch House Hunters, Matt Patches’ better half Michelle proves to be the saner party and Da7e’s girlfriend Java has things to say about Jane Austen adaptations.
