187 – American Vandal, Wonderstruck, AR in the Theater?

American Vandal

This week, Patches is out, so David, Da7e, and Katey talk about Todd Haynes' new film Wonderstruck that is both about children and suitable for children (but not a children't movie), the newly announced AR-enabled Moviebill, and Netflix's True Crime satire American Vandal…yeah, the thing about the guy who draws dicks. It turns out it's pretty great and maybe brilliant.

This week, David Ehrlich has seen some G-D Damn movies! First, David and Patches talk The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), which we can all watch on Netflix right now! Then, David tells us if we should check in on Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel (apparently not) before all the hosts realize that the Harvey Weinstein fiasco and women in the industry need to be the third, central, topic this week.

This week, all four hosts converge on the night of the new The Last Jedi trailer to talk about…Rick and Morty fans making fools out of themselves for a McDonald's promotion, that trailer that we watched right before we started recording. gosling

This week, Da7e is out, so Katey, Patches and David convene to discuss if Ryan Gosling has ever been in a good movie – just in case you were wondering how people felt about Blade Runner (this is NOT the Blade Runner 2049 episode either). But before that, a review of The Mountain Between Us and a sobering talk about gun violence in light of the tragedy in Las Vegas.
